Farm for Thought: A student-run urban farm on the UNBC Prince George Campus
Proudly owned + operated by PGPIRG, Farm for Thought produces pesticide-free vegetables and herbs for our community while creating hands-on farming opportunities for students.
In the summer (harvest) months, the Farm is taken care of by Farm Coordinators. All produce is sold at the Prince George Farmers' Market, to local restaurants, and through our Good Food Box program. We also develop age-appropriate activities aimed at teaching the UNBC Active Minds campers about local food systems.
Throughout the year, PGPIRG hosts food-related workshops on growing, composting, and DIY-ing. As a student-directed, non-profit organization, PGPIRG is committed to directing all produce revenue towards maintaining and developing the Farm!
